A Little About Dani
I'm a graphic designer and I love my chosen profession. I hold a Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Visual Communications and Design from the University of Nebraska at Kearney and I'm currently working in the industry. My current area of focus is video editing and motion graphic design.
Favorite Font: Frutiger.
Preferred Pantone Color: Radiant Orchid.
Coolest Design Movement: The New York School or the Bauhaus.
Design Idols: Kandinsky, his art and theories had a huge impact on modern design theory. Also, the Swedish designer and illustrator Olle Eksell.
Favorite Artists: Marc Chagall, because his paintings can always put me in a happy mood, and Camille Pissarro because his paintings are breathtaking in person.
Music: Rock and Roll. Especially KISS. . . I'll admit I've been to two concerts and could go to more. I'm into Country and Indie music as well.
Favorite Look: Cowgirl boots, vintage jewelry, and floral prints.
The Best Books: Far From the Madding Crowd by Thomas Hardy, The Giver by Lois Lowry, and The Brothers Karamazov by Fyodor Dostoyevsky.
Movies: Hands down my favorite movie is Tombstone. I love westerns in general. . .especially Spaghetti westerns starring Clint Eastwood. I'm also a sucker for the old James Bond movies with Sean Connery.
Cool Places I've Been:
The Vatican in Rome (I saw the Pope!) Florence, Verona, and Venice in Italy, the Louvre in France, and Buckingham palace in London. Nashville is amazing too.
Something Random from my Bucket List:
I really want to learn a second language. . . specifically Swedish, so I can take my dream trip to Sweden!
Other Random Interests: Antique shopping, running, genealogy research, and German Shepherds.
